Current Drupal Projects

Currently there are many projects that are on my plate. One is an online newsletter for a fashion company from Brooklyn, NY. The look and feel for this site has been designed by Krona Design. I am in the process of fleshing out the design comp to a test site that the designer and our customer and see, use and try the functionality. During this project large scale, pixel perfect layouts are expected, so we are using technology to replace the text with a font that isn't supported by every visitor's computer. This technique is known as Sifr, and the reason we have gone with this solution is that it does not affect the accessibity of the site. Also Sifr allows search engines to still scour every word of content on the website, but provides the flexibity of dynamically replacing text with stylized versions to match the graphic designer's vision and the client's branding.

The site of my web implementation business,Hearty Handshake is up and alive but there are still some final tweaks to the desing that need to be addressed. RobbieTheGeek.Com is alive, finally all my blogs consolidated down to one place. It is the centralized place to find out what is going on with me, what I am doing, reading, and thinking. But it is far from finished, it is currently themed the default Drupal theme Garland and that will soon be rectified. Also my wife's website is in the midst of a re-envisioning from a small, static brochure-ware site to a dynamic, data-driven site.
There are a few other projects that seem to be lingering just outside of my scheduling. A friend of mine who is also, an actress like my wife needs a site designed and implemented, I have already committed to doing her site. Also a good friend is starting a small consulting side business and he needs a web presence, small and static will do, but I have already committed to a Drupal site, more theme conversion time when it comes down to it. For his site he has chosen a design from Open Source Web Design that is very straight forward. I am hoping that at the end of that project I will release the theme to the community. There is also a redesign of a site that I have implemented already in Drupal. JonHoche.Com is a very active blog and personal branding site of an actor who is a good friend. He and I have been talking about a new design forever.
