Drupal Meetup NYC & other Drupal News

Last Tuesday evening I went over to my first Drupal NYC meetup, at Manhattan Neighborhood Network and it was a good time. It was nice to see folks that I had met at DrupalCamp NYC2 back in January. There was a lot of Google Maps / mapping in general discussed, showed off and explained. This was pretty relevant to me, because there is an upcoming project that I may be taking on that uses the GMap as part of a secondary navigation, we shall see how that goes :) There were special guest appearances from Lullabot, and company. It was nice to meet some of the folks that we listen to talk Drupal weekly. All in all it was a lot of fun, and even a little educational.
One last quick note, there was an announcement that affects us Tri-state Drupal nerds in the last few days...DrupalCamp NYC3...needless to say I am very, very excited. I had a blast as the last DrupalCamp and I learned so much. If you are a local web nerd you should come and spend the day with all of us Drupal nerds...
