Drupal NYC August Meetup

Last night was the NYC Drupal August meetup at Mansueto's offices at 7 World Trade Center. This was the first meetup under a new more structured format, of lightening talks, and then splitting the group into newbies and ninjas. During the lightening talks last night, I gave a quick run through my current projects. I first ran down Hot Report's functionality, how I took it from designer's comp and functional specification and some of the modules and the dealt with output from the views. I then did a quick rundown of a project I am working on for my friend's who happen to be actor's and have common needs. I am most of the way through the functionality for this group of sites, and I was able to discuss taking views and sticking the whole view into a variable, and do different things depending on testing the variable. Once this functionality is all solidified and completed I will be able to relaunch my wife's site, and our friend Nicole's site. I met Allen from Center Networks and he has also written up his views of this meetup. I should have some updates on these projects in the next few weeks, keep an eye on the RSS feed or stop back by for updates.
