Long time no blog, here we go...
I have been totally slacking for the last few months when it comes to my site, I have been in the process of moving this site over to a Robbie's internet activity portal. I have decided that visiting my site shouldn't make me feel bad that I haven't paid it any attention. I do spend lots of time online and sharing tons of info about me and what I am doing but sitting to write a blog seems to often be just too much for me to do. Hence the need to make this a little more automated, please hang in there with me it should be a cool final product and maybe I will finally get my long rumored Blogroll module up and running in the realworld.
Ok so time for the catch-up portion of this blog. I am still working at Sony, the workload is insane, the pressure is always high, but the people I work with a awesome. They aren't just coworkers, these are people I genuinely call my friends, and they make it al worthwhile. Next my wife along with 15 other folks started a theater company, called the American Bard Theater Company, the reason I mention this is that I worked on their site, and will apparently the point man for all things technology for them. In other news I joined a smart troupe of folks from the New York City Drupal community to head up to SUNY New Paltz to assist and present at the Hudson Valley DrupalCamp. This was a great experience, very intimate as far as camps go but still I feel it was well worth the trip, glad to help out. Also I have started hosting Drupal meetups in Northern NJ, these also have been between 4 & 10 people, but they have been great so far.
On to new business or things that haven't yet happened. First, I have also been working on converting over a not-for-profit site Angelwish.Org to Drupal from a hand-coded CMS. This has been a great project full of tons of things to learn, thanks to Shimmy for your patience, and understanding, looking forward to the relaunch soon. I am happy to be a part of the organizing team for DrupalCampNYC 7, there is a date officially set, and we are already sold out (there is a waiting list). Being part of the organizing team for New York City DrupalCamps is something I have wanted to do, I finally just stepped up and said so. This will be a fun camp, they usually are, always someone to teach, and someone to teach me that is one of my favorite parts of Drupal.
I am reading ridiculous amounts of comics, watching more TV then any one human should, and doing my damnedest to keep current on the news, and other podcasts. If you see me I am likely doing 2-3 things as you can see by my recap, if only I had some freetime I could get back to Batman Arkam Asylum on the PS3 (thanks Jon for lending it to me) Thanks for reading if you want current Robbie news Twitter is likely your best source or Facebook. Will try to talk to you here soon but till then please virtually stalk me :)
